Hello,
With the AT91sam9G20ek board and buildroot-2010.08, I am able to mount the rootfs jffs2 onto the Nand.
But I am unable to get the uClibc (Erik's uClibc development platform) login prompt and the boot process hangs after Starting Network and Starting dropbear sshd:
What could be the possible cause? and workaround of course ?
For reference, pasted below is the Boot Log
Thanks,
Abhi

So from the serial port.
Abhishek> Freeing init memory: 3972K
Abhishek> Initializing random number generator... done.
Abhishek> Starting network...
Abhishek> Starting dropbear sshd: generating rsa key... generating dsa key... OK
So the rootfs gets mounted and init runs. By default no getty (login)
program is running on ttyS0, but you can change that under 'Target
Options -> Generic serial port config'.

Ok. Check out Peters response. The problem is here:
# Put a getty on the serial port
#ttyS0::respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS0 115200 vt100 # GENERIC_SERIAL
as you can see getty is commented out here. I guess serial port is not
correct either.

It is (according to the kernel cmdline), so just remove the '#' at the

Tip: If you like to have a simple shell at the console port specified
by kernel cmdline, just enter like this in inittab:
::respawn:-/bin/sh
This will spawn a sh(ell) process at the current console port (but
won't of course ask for password).
