Hello,
Using buildroot-20080312 I'm trying to build a toolchain for ARM. I have
succeded, but I need libbfd which cannot be found inside the usr/lib
directory of the compiled toolchain. Which config voice should I enable
to have the libbfd library built?
Thanks in advance,
Daniele

I take it that you mean 20090312?

libbfd from binutils for the target? That's currently only available
if you enable gcc for the target, but you can manually add it to your
rootfs by running make binutils_target.
It's quite uncommon for anything else than gcc/binutils to need
libbfd, may I ask what you need it for?

Hi,
I'ce CC'ed the buildroot list again. Please keep buildroot

Ohh, that makes it harder to support you, but I'll try anyway.

I've never used either oprofile or gprof on uclibc, so I wouldn't
know.
You are aware that we have an oprofile package in buildroot these
days? It got added almost a year ago:
Author: Ninevoltz <ninevoltz@uclibc.org>
Date: Thu Apr 24 16:54:29 2008 +0000
add oprofile
git-svn-id: svn+ssh://uclibc.org/svn/trunk/buildroot at 21847
You could try backporting that to your version.

Thanks again for your help.
Yeah, I know that now there is an oprofile package: I think that backporting it could be a solution.
Regards,
Daniele
