Does anybody know about any serious consideration of implementing
LUKS+dm-crypt on the Android operating system. Reading, the specs of
Android, would seem to indicate that this is a very feasible option.
I just wanted to know whether there has been any break through towards
this,
Ali

AFAIK Android is already using dmcrypt.
(It's based on Linux kernel so what you want to port? It's already there:)

Guess I'm wondering if there was an attempt to setup a partition that
was fully encrypted and a boot partition that is not, where the user can
enter a passphrase,
eh....guess i'm a year late:

Should be interesting to see this implemented commercially though
