Bug ID: 2044
Summary: mempool/cnxk: halo_ena stored one byte, caller
supplies four
Product: DPDK
Version: 26.11
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: Normal
Component: ethdev
Assignee: dev@dpdk.org
Reporter: stephen@networkplumber.org
Target Milestone: ---
drivers/mempool/cnxk/cnxk_mempool.c
parse_halo_ena_handler() stores a uint8_t:
*(uint8_t *)extra_args = val;
while the caller declares:
uint32_t halo_ena = 0;
Only correct because the local is pre-zeroed and the host is little
endian. The mildest of the set -- no overrun, just an incomplete store.
Fixes: 45abbfc836b1 ("mempool/cnxk: support HALO in mempool")
