LGCI Ubuntu 24.04 Upgrade Reminder (1 of 3)

Hey everyone,

This is a reminder that the LGCI team is going to upgrade all DUTs,
services and everything our kingdom touches to Ubuntu 24.04 in 3 weeks,
on 23.09.2024. We have not received any change/download requests, so
looks like we are clear to nuke all data on all DUTs. If you still want
to grab/request something, this week is the time to do so.

We have received a few questions and would like to clarify one thing:
The entire system is getting wiped and upgraded to Ubuntu Server, not
Desktop. In practice, the DUT configuration scripts stripped down the
desktop bits, so we're just skipping most of that and installing the
server variant right away. Our system is not really testing any 3D or
media bits for this to matter - and if we have to, making the server
variant do what we want is still much easier than making the desktop
variant not do what we don't want it to do.
