Subject: [PATCH v5 0/6] drm/i915: Most fixes to make i915 work well with PREEMPT_RT.
Date: Wed, 23 Sep 2026 13:15:19 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20260923111518.310430-8-dev@lankhorst.se> (raw)
This series has dropped 'drm/i915/gt: Use signalers_lock to prevent
starvation of irq_work.', but otherwise includes all fixes I have
created so far to make the core i915 module work correctly on
PREEMPT_RT.
I'm hoping by reducing the delta, the remaining patches will become
easier to review and accept. A major patch series with nearly 30 patches
over the entire code is harder to review and accept than a few isolated
series targeting specific parts of the driver.
Maarten Lankhorst (3):
drm/i915/gt: Fix selftests on PREEMPT_RT
drm/i915/gt: Set stop_timeout() correctly on PREEMPT-RT
drm/i915: Use sleeping selftests for igt_atomic on PREEMPT_RT
Sebastian Andrzej Siewior (3):
drm/i915/gt: Use spin_lock_irq() instead of local_irq_disable() +
spin_lock()
drm/i915: Drop the irqs_disabled() check
drm/i915/guc: Consider also RCU depth in busy loop.
