Subject: RE - Working out if my driver is borked ?

Well something was wrong with the driver, I am not sure what, but I
really want to get it fixed.
If I install ubuntu my card works fine, if I install debian squeeze (or
Lenny or sid) and build the latest 2D and 3D driver from git it slows to
a crawl (along with the latest stable Kernel)
What would be the best steps to diagnose the problem ?
