Dear Linux folks,
On a Dell Latitude E7250 with Debian sid/unstable, PowerTOP 2.14 reports
the network device uses over 1.5 Watt, which is almost ten percent of
the whole system.
1.62 W 435,9 pkts/s Device

I do not know the code of PowerTOP. I also do not have the equipment to measure it directly. > Did you contact your vendors regards this problem? No. First the Dell Latitude E7250 is from 2015, so long out of warranty. Secondly, despite having Ubuntu GNU/Linux preinstalled, the Dell support personal reply, that they only support Microsoft Windows, and that the support for GNU/Linux is given by the “community”. It should be possible to get the power consumption via software on Intel devices from the last ten years. How are you doing it in your QA setups?
