Indeed. But the source is coming from another GT. So technically it is 
outside of the control of this GT. And I like defensive programming and 
always checking for errors!

Hmm. Confused. I've run this code plenty on various types of multi-GT 
devices and not noticed any complaints. Do I need any particular CONFIG 
options enabled? Pretty sure I've run with the regular kernel leak 
detector enabled but maybe not in a while.
