Hello,
we wrote a small howto to how to run the guests at
http://kvm.qumranet.com/kvmwiki/PowerPC_Run
This also includes the needed args for virtio and a pitfall section we will extend as we find things.
We also have sections about the other steps e.g. build that will be published once the needed patches are public available/upstream.
