Hi all,
I've just downloaded the dev86 package, when I compile it (make) I do get
the following error message:
*** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption: 0x0804d168 ***
make[3]: *** [crt3.o] Aborted
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/bcc/dev86-0.16.16/libc'
make[2]: *** [lib-386] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/bcc/dev86-0.16.16'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/bcc/dev86-0.16.16'
make: *** [all] Error 2

What are the 3 or 4 lines above that message. It looks like a bug in the
compiler tools being used.

That looks like when creating target crt3.o the program responsible to
create that target crashed. Assuming that its the gcc that did it, the
only solution that comes to my mind is updating the compiler.

Which version of gcc and glibc are you using Jethro?
