Mount problems on Quaderno V30

[fialka.linux-8086]

Hi everybody,

I am trying to install EDE ELKS distribution on my little Quaderno.
I tried to install normal ELKS too but the problem was the same.

The problem:

1) I make minix partition over whole 20MB disk and mark it as bootable.
   --> OK
2) I type `mkfs /dev/bda1 20000`
   --> OK
3) I try `mount /dev/bda1 /mnt`
   --> Not a minix :(

I really don't know how to get ELKS on my tiny Quaderno if the mount program
is not able to realise tha the partition is really minix :(

Does anyone of you know, where is the problem? I tried to look up anything
on Google but din not succeded. I read all documentation thus but I really
did not get any solution. Please, give me some advices...

I have a Quaderno but no floppy atm.  I'm hoping to loan the floppy off another
Quaderno owner.  Getting ELKS on this is on my TODO.  With any luck I should
see the person next week.

What does the output of fdisk give?  Can you successfully use fdisk from dos or
freedos?

DId you try /dev/bdb1? /dev/bda could be the floppy drive.
