Subject: lid events not working
Date: Thu, 24 Jun 2004 16:58:34 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1088114314.5048.14.camel@walters06> (raw)
I've got a Sager 8882 laptop and I'm trying to get ACPI working
properly. I'm using kernel 2.6.6. The main problem that I'm having is
that lid events don't seem to work properly. If I check the
/proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/state file, it's always listed as being
closed.
I've corrected my DSDT and have eliminated all errors/warnings and have
recompiled the kernel to integrate the new DSDT, but this has no
effect. I've also removed all APIC support from the kernel and have
passed acpi_os_name="Microsoft Windows XP" as a kernel option. None of
this makes any difference. Anybody have any thoughts?
regards,
JP
