Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.
This is a great info. However, maybe my question is misleading.
Other than collecting snmp traps using snmptrapd, is there any
other tool which I could used to manipulate these snmp to take
certain action? I actually need a very good reporting tools,
something like analog but in great depth.

Thank you.
Ryan

... within very recent memory , mention was made of security problems
with snmp as implemented. it seems the vulnerability NOT platform
specific. a search of 'securityfocus.com' or 'cert.org' might be in
order ...

Hi,

This is my first time posting to the mailing-list.
I have a question (which I hope not too silly), is there
any tools (similar to MRTG) in linux which I can use to
collect SNMP traps from various devices (manageable)?

I happen to come across this tools from http://www.netvoyant.com
but they are way too expensive. Any recommendation is
highly valued.

Thank you.
Ryan
