* [PATCH v6 2/9] drm/fb-cma-helper: Add drm_fb_cma_get_gem_addr()

Add function drm_fb_cma_get_gem_addr() which return the physical address
of framebuffer (1st pixel). This function will usually be called by plane
callback (atomic_update).

This controller provides output signals to interface directly a variety
of LCD and TFT panels. These output signals are: RGB signals
(up to 24bpp), vertical & horizontal synchronisations, data enable and
the pixel clock.

I am not sure if default is the best name, it suggest some hierarchy
which is not true. Also edge does not fit here well, it is just buzzword
used for marketing.

Alternative enums:
- S6E3HA2_TYPE, S6E3HF2_TYPE, quite long, hard to catch difference, but
consistent with compatibles,
- HA2_TYPE, HF2_TYPE - shorter, more readable version,
- QHD_TYPE, WQXGA_TYPE - to empahsize resolutions.

* [PATCH v2 0/2] drm: dw-hdmi: various improvements

This set of patches split the stream handling functions in two parts. It
introduces new callbacks that are specific to each variant, one for I2S
and one for AHB.

Then, as requested by the datasheet for the I2S variant, it adds support
for gating the audio sampler clock when the audio stream is enabled and
disabled.

Currently, CTS+N is forced to zero as a workaround of the IP block for
i.MX platforms. This is requested in the datasheet of the corresponding
IP for AHB mode only. However, we have seen that it introduces glitches
or delays when playing a sound on HDMI for I2S mode. This proves that we
cannot keep the current functions for handling audio stream as-is if
these contain workaround that are specific to a mode.

This commit introduces two callbacks, one for each variant.
dw_hdmi_setup defines the right function depending on the detected
variant. Then, the exported functions dw_hdmi_audio_enable and
dw_hdmi_audio_disable calls the corresponding callbacks

Currently, the audio sampler clock is enabled from dw_hdmi_setup() at
step E. and is kept enabled for later use. This clock should be enabled
and disabled along with the actual audio stream and not always on (that
is bad for PM). Futhermore, as described by the datasheet, the I2S
variant need to gate/ungate the clock when the stream is
enabled/disabled.

This commit adds a parameter to hdmi_audio_enable_clk() that controls
when the audio sample clock must be enabled or disabled. Then, it adds
the call to this function from dw_hdmi_i2s_audio_enable() and
dw_hdmi_i2s_audio_disable().

Thanks for your explanation and the example, but i can't see the relevant difference. So i think i'm not the right person to fix this issue, but i will test any patches regarding to this issue.

Switching to a PFN array won't work either as we have no cross-arch
way to translate PFNs to a DMA address and vice versa.  Yes, we have
them in ARM, but they are an _implementation detail_ of ARM's
DMA API support, they are not for use by drivers.

So, the very first problem that needs solving is this:

  How do we go from a coherent DMA allocation for device X to a set
  of DMA addresses for device Y.

Essentially, we need a way of remapping the DMA buffer for use with
another device, and returning a DMA address suitable for that device.
This could well mean that we need to deal with setting up an IOMMU
mapping.  My guess is that this needs to happen at the DMA coherent
API level - the DMA coherent API needs to be augmented with support
for this.  I'll call this "DMA coherent remap".

We then need to think about how to pass this through the dma-buf API.
dma_map_sg() is done by the exporter, who should know what kind of
memory is being exported.  The exporter can avoid calling dma_map_sg()
if it knows in advance that it is exporting DMA coherent memory.
Instead, the exporter can simply create a scatterlist with the DMA
address and DMA length prepopulated with the results of the DMA
coherent remap operation above.

What the scatterlist can't carry in this case is a set of valid
struct page pointers, and an importer must not walk the scatterlist
expecting to get at the virtual address parameters or struct page
pointers.

On the mmap() side of things, remember that DMA coherent allocations
may require special mapping into userspace, and which can only be
mapped by the DMA coherent mmap support.  kmap etc will also need to
be different.  So it probably makes sense for DMA coherent dma-buf
exports to use a completely separate set of dma_buf_ops from the
streaming version.

I think this is the easiest approach to solving the problem without
needing massive driver changes all over the kernel.

CPUs which have PIPT caches), ARM mmap() code checks if cache is VIPT
aliasing for MAP_SHARED.

The problem here is in shmat() syscall:
1. if shmaddr is NULL then do_shmat() uses arch_get_unmapped_area()
   to allocate shared mapping.
2. if shmaddr is specified then do_shmat() checks that address has
   SHMLBA alignment regardless to CPU cache aliasing.

Which results on ARMv7 CPUs that shmat() with NULL shmaddr may return
non-SHMLBA aligned address (page-aligned), but shmat() with the same
address will fail.

That is not critical issue for CRIU as after shmat() with NULL address,
we can mremap() resulted shmem to restore shared memory mappings on the
same address where they were on checkpointing.
But it's still worth fixing because we can't reliably tell from
userspace if the platform has VIPT cache, and so this mremap()
workaround is done with HUGE warning that restoring application, that
uses SHMBLA-unaligned shmem on ARMv6 CPU with VIPT cache may result
in data corruptions.

I also changed SHMLBA build-time check to init-time WARN_ON(), as
it's not constant afterward.

* [PATCH] ARM32: Support mremap() for sigpage/vDSO

CRIU restores application mappings on the same place where they
were before Checkpoint. That means, that we need to move vDSO
and sigpage during restore on exactly the same place where
they were before C/R.

Make mremap() code update mm->context.{sigpage,vdso} pointers
during VMA move. Sigpage is used for landing after handling
a signal - if the pointer is not updated during moving, the
application might crash on any signal after mremap().

vDSO pointer on ARM32 is used only for setting auxv at this moment,
update it during mremap() in case of future usage.

Without those updates, current work of CRIU on ARM32 is not reliable.
Historically, we error Checkpointing if we find vDSO page on ARM32
and suggest user to disable CONFIG_VDSO.
But that's not correct - it goes from x86 where signal processing
is ended in vDSO blob. For arm32 it's sigpage, which is not disabled
with `CONFIG_VDSO=n'.

Looks like C/R was working by luck - because userspace on ARM32 at
this moment always sets SA_RESTORER (and sigpage is not used in
that case).

The purpose of this set of patches is to add a new driver for stm32f429.
This driver was developed and tested on evaluation board stm32429i.

Stm32f4 is a MCU platform which don't have MMU so the last patches developed
by Benjamin Gaignard regarding "DRM: allow to use mmuless devices"

The board stm429i embeds a Ampire AM-480272H3TMQW-T01H screen.
A new simple panel am-480272h3tmqw-t01h have been added to support it.
