This is understandable and I have this in my .gitconfig for quite a long
time. And this is just log

But what do you mean by this? Are you able to add this to commit message
just with sha1?

[Xiaowei Bao] Hi Lorenzo, the RCW full name is "reset configuration word", it can be built to a bin file and program to the flash, rather than configure by kernel, almost the NXP Layerscaple platform use this way.

I think include/linux/rtc/mt6397.h would be better?

Certainly from a maintainance PoV, it would be better reviewed and
looked after by an RTC expert.

After commit c223da689324 ("can: xilinx_can: Add support for
CANFD FD frames") Driver is updating the FSR IRI index multiple
times(i.e in xcanfd_rx() and xcan_rx_fifo_get_next_frame()),
It should be updated once per rx packet this patch fixes this issue,
also this patch removes the unnecessary fsr register checks in
xcanfd_rx() API.

When can clock is provided from the clock wizard, clock wizard driver may
not be available when can driver probes resulting to the error message
"Device clock not found error".

As this error message is not very userful to the end user, skip printing
it in the case of deferred probe.

That's an option, but I'd really like to avoid it if possible.

I guess we could also just add a delay in the powerup path in the HDMI

That's true, but it still have nothing to do with validating its
presence vs its content. We never even mentionned the latter.

The bootloader passed by the bootloader is not meant for Linux but for
another OS, the bootloader loaded a DT not meant for mainline but some
BSP that happen to have the same compatible, the user has applied a
work in progress patch to its DT, and then updates the kernel, the
user applied a poorly written overlay, etc...

We really shouldn't support those cases in the first place, but a
silent lockup of the system is the worst way to treat those errors.

We shouldn't assert this *only* in the schema, but if it's cheap and
it can catch some mistakes, then why not?

Worst case scenario, the DTSI will be correct all the time, and it
will never generate any error. Just like 90% of all the constraints in
the schemas.

I believe iop13xx were mostly Intel dev boards.  I'm not aware of any
major devices based on iop33x.

As Arnd points out, Debian used to have support for various iop32x
devices.  While Debian hasn't supported iop32x in a number of years,
these devices are still usable and in use (RMK being a prime example).

So I think it's safe to drop iop33x/iop13xx while retaining support
for iop32x.

As I was looking at my email archives, I saw an email from Peter
Teichmann who was working on an iop33x based platform (around 2009) so
I've copied him as well.
