microblazeel works with this patch, as do the nosmp sparc32 boot tests,
but sparc32 boot tests with SMP enabled still fail with lots of messages
such as:

In the old txt situation we add/describe only properties that are used
by the driver/hardware itself. With yaml it also filters things in a
node that are used by other drivers like 'assigned-clocks' and
'assigned-clock-rates' for some older Rockchip SoCs in 'gpu' nodes,
so add them to 'arm,mali-utgard.yaml'.

* [PATCH 10/11] irqchip/bcm2836: Configure mailbox interrupts as standard interrupts

In order to switch the bcm2836 driver to privide standard interrupts
for IPIs, it first needs to stop lying about the way things work.

The mailbox interrupt is actually a multiplexer, with enough
bits to store 32 pending interrupts per CPU. So let's turn it
into a chained irqchip.

Once this is done, we can instanciate the corresponding IPIs,
and pass them to the architecture code.

FYI Minor nit...  a simple copy/paste failed...  that print of the cmd line
did not include quotes around the -append text:

AFAICT the compile is working...  It is running from the command line now...  I
expected it to be slow so I have also increased the timeouts last night.  So
far it still fails.  I did notice that there is a new 'R' in the wait output.

I was hoping that meant it found qemu 'running' but looks like that was just a

But thanks to the qemu command line hint I can see these were not nearly
enough...  (It has been running for > 20 minutes...  and I'm not getting
output...)  Or I've done something really wrong.  Shouldn't qemu be at least
showing something on the terminal by now?  I normally run qemu with different
display options (and my qemu foo is weak) so I'm not sure what I should be
seeing with this command line.

Daniel reports that the .cfi_startproc is misplaced for the sigreturn
trampoline, which causes LLVM's unwinder to misbehave:

This prompted Dave to question our use of CFI directives more generally,
and I ended up going down a rabbit hole trying to figure out how this
very poorly documented stuff gets used.

Move the CFI directives so that the "mysterious NOP" is included in
the .cfi_{start,end}proc block and add a bunch of comments so that I
can save myself another headache in future.

For better or worse, GDB relies on the exact instruction sequence in the
VDSO sigreturn trampoline in order to unwind from signals correctly.
Commit c91db232da48 ("arm64: vdso: Convert to modern assembler annotations")
unfortunately added a BTI C instruction to the start of __kernel_rt_sigreturn,
which breaks this check. Thankfully, it's also not required, since the
trampoline is called from a RET instruction when returning from the signal
handler

Remove the unnecessary BTI C instruction from __kernel_rt_sigreturn,
and do the same for the 32-bit VDSO as well for good measure.

introduces 'keep_curr_dev_pwr_mode' and the very next change (this one) 
removes it.

The decompressor can load from anywhere in memory, and the only reason
the EFI stub code relocates it is to ensure it appears within the first
128 MiB of memory, so that the uncompressed kernel ends up at the right
offset in memory.

We can short circuit this, and simply jump into the decompressor startup
code at the point where it knows where the base of memory lives. This
also means there is no need to disable the MMU and caches, create new
page tables and re-enable them.

We will be running the decompressor in place after a future patch,
instead of copying it around first. This means we no longer have to
disable and re-enable the MMU and caches either. However, this means
we will be loaded with the restricted permissions set by the UEFI
firmware, which means that we have to move the GOT table into the
data section in order for the contents to be writable by the code
itself.

The remaining contents of LC0 are only used after the point in the
decompressor startup code where we enter via 'wont_overwrite'. So
move the loading of the LC0 structure after it. This will allow us
to jump to wont_overwrite directly from the EFI stub, and execute
the decompressor in place at the offset it was loaded by the UEFI
firmware.

The EFI stub in the ARM kernel runs in the context of the firmware, which
means it usually runs with the caches and MMU on. Currently, we relocate
the zImage so it appears in the first 128 MiB, disable the MMU and caches
and invoke the decompressor via its ordinary entry point. However, since we
can pass the base of DRAM directly, there is no need to relocate the zImage,
which also means there is no need to disable and re-enable the caches and
create new page tables etc.

This simplification is implemented by patch #5. Patches #1 - #4 are
prerequisite changes to permit the decompressor startup code to be invoked
past its ordinary entry point, and execute from the offset where the UEFI
firmware happened to load it.

Note that this applies onto rmk/for-next as of today.

Changes since v3:
- rebase onto rmk/for-next with Geert's DT memory node patch [0] removed, as
  it has been reverted again due to regressions

Changes since v2:
- Set the LSB of the image address if we are entering with MMU and caches off,
  so that the decompressor will install its own page tables as it usually
  does. This might happen on U-Boot platforms that call 'bootefi' without
  enabling the caches (which technically violates the UEFI spec, but might
  be working fine today)
- Add Nico's ack to the series

Change the way we deal with GIC SGIs by turning them into proper
IRQs, and calling into the arch code to register the interrupt range

* [PATCH 04/11] ARM: Allow IPIs to be handled as normal interrupts

In order to deal with IPIs as normal interrupts, let's add
a new way to register them with the architecture code.

set_smp_ipi_range() takes a range of interrupts, and allows
the arch code to request them as if the were normal interrupts.
A standard handler is then called by the core IRQ code to deal
with the IPI.

This means that we don't need to call irq_enter/irq_exit, and
that we don't need to deal with set_irq_regs either. So let's
move the dispatcher into its own function, and leave handle_IPI()
as a compatibility function.

On the sending side, let's make use of ipi_send_mask, which
already exists for this purpose.
