Yeah, I think it cannot (always) be a blanket statement from the driver.
For drivers that do not support ATTACH_NO_CONNECTOR, then it's always
going to be a tail, but if the driver supports it, we should use a
helper because it's going to depend on the DT, basically.

Thanks for the notes, I think I largely agree with the discussion.
Reading through it, I thought it would be nice for a new callback called
get_next_bridge or something that would return either an error, NULL or a
(refcounted) pointer to the next bridge in the chain. And have some kind
of special error (ENODEV?) when the bridge should be there but isn't
(and thus the chain isn't complete).

No need to parse OF compatible again. Store these in a struct, point
auxiliary_device_id::driver_data to it, and use that here.

This split rcdev initialization is more hassle than it is worth.
Please just export rtk_reset_ops and duplicate the
regmap/ops/dev/of_node assignment in the probe functions.

Alternatively, consolidate the probe function and export it from here.

No in-tree board references these gates yet. Boards drive the codec
MCLK through the parent I2S*_8CH_MCLKOUT, and now that the gates are
managed clocks, clk_disable_unused() turns them off at boot. On a board
that relied on firmware leaving the output enabled, that cuts the MCLK
and analog audio stops working.

Mark the four gates CLK_IGNORE_UNUSED so an unreferenced gate keeps the
state firmware left. A board that wants the kernel to own the gate can
reference I2S*_8CH_MCLKOUT_TO_IO from DT instead.

Hotplug is supported via pciehp. We skip probing the host bridge if no
link was detected because there's simply nothing attached to the port,
otherwise the link would've come up.

pcie->link_up is slightly misleading because it actually means something
along the lines of "link could be up at some point", either during probe
or after some hotplug event later on. It is only ever false if there's
no link during probe and hotplug isn't supported at all.

I had to clarify this with the PCI team and they indicated that
tegra264_pcie_deinit() is actually useless and maybe even harmful. The
reason is that there's a processor on these boards (BPMP) that takes
care of power sequencing and it will automatically take the PCI links
to L2 on suspend and assert PERST#.

Another reason why we don't want to reset the entire controller is that
it is already set up during early boot by UEFI and the kernel driver
does not redo the entire initialization.

So yes, I think a little bit of power consumption is the compromise that
we will have to live with. In the bigger picture it's probably not going
to be noticeable in most cases, and given that these are embedded
platforms we'll likely see fixed configurations most of the time and the
case where we remove the PCIe host controller will not be common.

This is just regular pinctrl PM boilerplate. There's plenty of other
drivers where we do this, too. We want this because some of the pins
get configured to non-default states on boot/resume, so doing this
here ensures they are muxed correctly.

Yes, this keeps confusing me, too. The purpose of this is to skip
initialization if we've already determined during probe that there is
never going to be a link. link_up will be false if and only if there was
no link during probe and we don't expect there ever will be a link
because there is no hotplug support.

Maybe a different name for link_up could help here? maybe_link_up
perhaps? I don't know if that's any clearer, but I also couldn't come up
with a better name.

Or maybe we should split this into two booleans, since we're essentially
trying to use one boolean to track a tristate. What we want to know is
if a link is truly up and if the controller should be kept powered for
the case where hotplug is supported.

I suppose we could do:

	bool link_up; /* track the link state */
	bool supports_hotplug; /* track whether port is hotpluggable */

That would make the code a bit cleaner and easier to follow.

I think we're pretty much there. As of 7.2, all panels will use
devm_drm_panel_alloc. It should be fairly easy now to create a bridge
for them all in devm_drm_panel_alloc, and then call drm_bridge_add in
drm_panel_add.

the clock your referencing is not limited to your rv1126 but instead
present on most (all?) Rockchip SoCs.

And it is an input clock for the phy itself, so should be handled there.

It is the correct fix, as it returns the original way things worked for
boards not activly handling that clock.

So while boards should do that, this makes the clock-addition
backwards compatible.

Care to send a patch for that change? :-)

I2C3 (SDA3/SCL3 on GPIO14/GPIO15) is routed to the 40-pin GPIO header,
exposed on the blue-colored pins 27 (SCL3) and 28 (SDA3). Enable the
controller, add the corresponding pin configuration in the pinctrl node
so users can use external I2C devices.

The Radxa NIO 12L exposes I2C3 (SDA3/SCL3, GPIO14/GPIO15) on its 40-pin
GPIO header, on the blue-coloured pins 27 (SCL3) and 28 (SDA3).

Enable the I2C3 controller, add the matching pinctrl configuration and run
the bus at 400 kHz, matching the other I2C buses already enabled on this
board.

Tested using a SD1306 I2C OLED display.

The message itself, yes, thanks.

However, I have questions now :)

Do we really expect drm_bridge_connector to stick around when a bridge
gets unplugged? If so, how does it cope with having, say, an HDMI
connector, and then swapping out the hotplugged part for an LVDS one?
Does the HDMI connector sticks around indefinitely?

*Especially* if we're using overlays for this, I'd expect everything
 after the first hotplugged bridge to be destroyed, no?

Add support for the ISO (Isolation) domain clock controller on the Realtek
RTD1625 SoC. This controller manages clocks in the always-on power domain,
ensuring essential services remain functional even when the main system
power is gated.

Because the reset controller shares the same register space with this ISO
clock controller, this driver also acts as the parent device and registers
the reset controller as an auxiliary device on the auxiliary bus.
