Dear everybody,
yesterday I have upgraded the firmware of my AP-X and tried to connect to the
internet via the DUN service (They stated that the DUN part would have been
improved...). I have proceeded according to Cees' HOWTO and made use of a
working internet connection, which I normally use with my old modem (I've
changed /dev/ttyS0 to /dev/rfcomm0). So far so good, dialling worked, but the
connection got stuck in the LCP process. Here is the log output:

It looks to me as if not a single LCP request has been received.
I have browsed through the mail archive a bit and found that similar problems
have been encountered. However, I'd like to know whether there are news
concerning this problem. Marcel stated that it could have two reasons: 1) AVM
has a problem with the firmware 2) the Linux PPP code is wrong somewhere.
TIA for any clue,
Bernd

I never had real success with DUN and an AP-X device and actually I
don't know where the problem is. However you can use CMTP and the CIP
profile for dialin. Here are some details
http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/isdn.html
Regards
Marcel

Thanks for the fast reply. I know that page already. I'm running the 2.6=20
kernel series and haven't been able to find a working capi, yet. I guess I'=
ll=20
have to wait until it's (capi) supported for 2.6...

you can search for a patch named i4l-t9bk22 or use 2.6.4-rc1 which
already includes every ISDN update that is needed. However you must make
sure that the module capi.ko is loaded and that /dev/capi is mounted,
because capiinit sometimes forget about it.

Marcel

Thanks again! That's info I didn't have and I'll try it immediately...

Under 2.6.4-rc2 ISDN with AVM BlueFritz-USB/BlueFritz-AP-X and the capi-uti=
ls=20
works under Debian SID. Thanks again.
