Hello Everybody.
Okay this is my first mail in this list, so I am sorry for mistakes.
I try to connect a Headset with a dongle.
The problem begins if I plug in my dongle and boot my System, my System
hangs.
So i plugged my dongle after booting my System i get this message:
hci_scodata_packet :hci0 sco packet unknown connection for handle 0
I killed this message and make : hciconfig
Nothing is found
I make this in KDE-Shell
no Error message , hciconfig find my dongle
I can scan for headset and find it, but i cant get any connection.
I make hcidump, I get this message:
SCO data: handle 0x0000 dlen0
That can I do, to connect my headset.
My System: Debian unstable
Kernel 2.6.6
installed bluez packages:
bluez-bluefw
bluez-hcidump
bluez-utils
bluez-pan
bluez-pin
P.S.: Sorry, I am german, and my english is not so fine.

Hi,
currently BlueZ doesn't support SCO and Marcel has not time to implement it.
Feel free and patch our sources.

this looks very weird. Give us more information about your hardware and
what kind of dongle you are using.

Do you use ehci-hcd driver for USB2.0? What does the syslog say, after
plugging in the dongle.

You can kill a message?

Plz post the output of "hciconfig -a" if dongle is recognized.

Maybe you can post the whole hcidump trace not only a single line.

The Packages in unstable are a bit outdated. But I don't believe this
can be the reason.

there is no CSR chip in this dongle.

What is the content of /proc/bus/usb/devices with the dongle attached?

Use patch-2.6.6-mh1 to prevent some USB related bugs.

disable CONFIG_BT_HCIUSB_SCO in your kernel config and see if the error
still occurs. For me this looks like your dongle is very buggy.

I use the patch ( I did it like the description), so that was my last hope to
find the error by myself
In KDE Shell I cannot plug in, plug out, plug in the dongle, is only found by
the first attemp.

yes they did. Where do you bought it? If the error still exists after
disabling SCO support I must try to get one of these.

You missed some information at the top.

If you already use 2.6.6-mh1 then it is good to say that ;)
However disable CONFIG_BT_HCIUSB_SCO and try again.

FWIW I needed bk-usb.patch from -mm2:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.6/2.6.6-mm2/broken-out/
as well when I tried 2.6.6

send us the full /proc/bus/usb/devices from your system. I think we have
