Hi,

the current Bluetooth version is 1.2 and as far as I know there are no
Bluetooth 1.2 CF cards on the market, but you can check the cards from
Brainboxes and see if they provide an update. In general every CSR
BlueCore02 based CF or PCMCIA card with 8 Mbit flash can be updated to
the Bluetooth 1.2 standard.

Marcel

does anyone know of any CF cards other than Brainboxes (they are only about 10Xs as much as my old ambicom) that use the BlueCore02 chip?

there are many of them, but you need the right firmware and the flash
size must be 8 Mbit to update them. However most companies don't care
after they sold them.

i was hoping to find a list somewhere. maybe i'm searching for the wrong thing (bluecore02). should i just be looking for CSR with 8M flash compact flash cards?

otherwise, i suppose i can pony up the extra money if it means that the card is upgradable

there exists no list like this on the internet and actually most sales
guys won't know what you are talking about.

Ask first and make sure that you get your money back if it not works as
expected.
