Hello everyone,
remember my keyboard which refused to handle the multimedia
buttons, boot mode or not? Well, the solution was easier than
I thought - obviously, once the keyboard is in boot mode, it
refuses to go back, even if hidd tells otherwise. I just had
to remove the batteries, wait a few seconds, pop them back in
and voila, the multimedia keys work as expected (with 2.6.8.1-mh1).
Thanks for reading,
Yours, Florian

this is interesting. May I must include a switch to report mode in the
kernel, but I always thought that this is default. Do you own the old or
the new Microsoft keyboard?
Regards
Marcel

Well.. as it is at least 1.5 years old, I suppose it's the old
one, but I don't know for certain. Any way to find out?

check with "hcitool info ..." if it says that it contains a CSR chip.

this is definitely the old one. I own one of these and may get some free
time next week to check this behaviour.
