Hallo Marcel,
now the trouble begins. I install SuSE 9.2 and wnted to start the
bluetooth-function of my toshiba satellite pro m10, which already worked
under 9.1 ---> but now nothing happens. When I try to start with dmabt the
response is: unable to access /dev/toshiba, although the file (?) is
existing. The lines in modules.conf are also o.k.
I tried to patch the toshiba_acpi, but without any result. Only a long time
of compilation, etc.
Please give me an idea what to do to solve the problem. I have always to
switch from Linux to Windows in order to get an internet-connection and this
is very boring.

the SuSE 9.2 and Bluetooth is working perfect. Your problems seems to be
in activating the dongle on the hardware side . Actually this is not
really a BlueZ related problem.
Do it show up in /proc/bus/usb/devices? Can you use a hardware switch
near your keyboard to activate it?

the BT-device is always activate by the switch. I was really astonished =

it doesn't work under 9.2
At the moment I'm working with Windows, also connected by the BT-device =

my network.
What have I to do, when it is not shown up in /proc/bus/usb/devices ???
In order to find out, I have to reboot with Linux.

maybe you simply have to run YaST once and activate Bluetooth.

That is a problem of course ;)

If it is not recognized by USB subsystem, then you have to activate it
and in general this is somekind of ACPI magic.

after this I was able to start dmabt and now, the bluetooth-function of =

Do you configured it with YaST? Otherwise the deamons might not start
and don't forget to set your PIN.

Don't touch it. Check with "hcidump -X" what is going on.

you are right boot-command is pci=noacpi

the PIN is set, but - it seems so - not accepted by the BT-accesspoint,
although it is the same PIN - BT-accesspoint and Linux. I configured all by
YaST, only the dmabt I have to start seperately by the line-editor. How to
start it automatically?

and you switched your device into security mode 3. This will always
cause troubles. Deaktivate authentication and encryption with YaST.

Hi Marcel,
at first, thanks a lot. Now there is no error-message any more.
I'm able to get a connection with the BT-accesspoint, but only for a =
short
time. The AP is identified as LAN/Bluetooth Network Device.
With Connection Info I see the Device name, Address and Signal strength
during connection. After a short time the connection goes down =
(timeout?).
With YaST I configured bnepX and it is shown as network device bnep0. =
The AP
is plugged in a telephonesystem (DSL-System) which has also a router- =
and a
switch-function. I need the router-function in order to reach the =
internet.
But I'm not able to use bnep0 for the configuration of DSL with YaST =
neither
ISDN and Modem. I only find bnep0 in YaST at network device, like =
ethppp0
and so on. Have I to install additional systems to make bnep0 available =
for
DSL???

Why don't you try the easy way first? Use pand to connect and then use
DHCP to configure your IP address. What kind of AP is this?
