Dear All,

it can active the bluetooth dongle that I run the command "hciconfig hci0 up" , I can use "hciconfig -a " to see its parameter , but how to change its parameter,
for example ,change the device's name or other parameters?

thanks

Best regards,
Leiyu

you can use hciconfig to do that. Check the manual page for details. The
better way is to use the D-Bus API for BlueZ. Check the Wiki pages for
details. Also the UI tools from bluez-gnome use this API.

Marcel

Dear Marcel,

thanks for your reply,

It is same as the information of hcid.conf that the command " hciconfig -a" display the attribute in PC linux,
But I have a try in embedded linux, it is not same as the information of hcid.conf, although I call "hcid -f hcid.conf ", it looks like calling "hcid" command has no effect
How to let the attribute be same as that listing in hcid.conf?
Thanks

Best regards,
Leiyu

actually /var/lib/bluetooth/<bdaddr>/config can overwrite any setting in
hcid.conf. The hcid.conf are the defaults, but they must not stay as
that. Actually you should never touch hcid.conf unless you are really
know what you are doing.

Marcel
