Hi...

I have a USB Dongle that has a time out period of 20000.00 msecs. So could you suggest what the method of increasing the time out period is??
I am a beginner and would appreciate any step-by-step approach towards establishing a two-way connection with a motorola V-600 phone

Install blueZ.
Load the bluez modules
*edit modules.conf
	alias net-pf-31 bluez
	alias bt-proto-0 l2cap
	alias bt-proto-2 sco
	alias tty-ldisc-15 hci_uart
*insmod rfcomm
hciconfig should show your adapter.
hciconfig hci0 up should bring it online.

Install kde-bluetooth.
*edit /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf
	security user;
        pairing multi;
	pin_helper /usr/bin/kbluepin;
*reboot
*check hciconfig again
*start KDE - you should see a notification.
*init a normal pairing from you phone (see manual) - kde should prompt you for
the PIN.

enter 'scp:/' as the URL in Konqueror - you should be able to browse onto your
phone, obexpush, and it'll open the push client.

If you send files from the phone, a window should apper.

This is all based on my recent experience getting everything working with
KDE3.2, on a RedHat9 box.
