Hi List,
Since my upgrade to Lenny, my mouse doesn't connect automatically
anymore. To get my mouse working, I have to remove my USB bluetooth
dongle and put it back. I've compared the modules before and after but
everything is the same.
I've asked this on the debian mailinglist but nobody had an answer so
maybe the bluez-user list can.
When I try to connect after startup I get:
$ hidd --connect 00:30:05:00:04:13
Can't get device information: Connection timed out
$
I remove the BT dongle and put it back:
$ hidd --connect 00:30:05:00:04:13
$
Any one a suggestion what's going wrong?

Use recent bluez-libs/utils, they don't need hidd anymore.

No. I see similar looking problems sometimes, that is having to unplug
the dongle before my mouse will reconnect again, but this surely has
a different reason.

I'm using hidd - Bluetooth HID daemon version 3.7
Which version doesn't need HIDD?

You can disable the build of hidd since quite some time. In the openSUSE
package we stopped using it wiht release 3.10. Anyway, for proper debugging,
you should use the latest BlueZ-version. If you need to use the old version,
get support from your distribution ;-)

I replaced my BT dongle by another one and my mouse seems to work
perfect now. It look likes it either was a kernel or hardware problem.

Just a little update: I still have to power-off and power-on the mouse
after reboot. I find it very strange since it works fine on the older
version included with debian etch.
