Hello.
I have a "Gembird" (0a12:0001) and a
"Targus" (0a5c:4503, 0a5c:4502, 0a5c:2100, 0a5c:4500)
usb bluetooth dongle at work.
The Gembird attaches and detaches when connected:

tsdev (compaq touchscreen emulation) is scheduled for removal.
See Documentation/feature-removal-schedule.txt for details.
kdebluetooth won't even show the tooltip until I remove the targus.
I've put a picture of the gembird and lsusb -v outputs
here:
http://users.utu.fi/mijutu/bugreports/bluez/
There is also a billionton.txt, a lsusb -v from a bluetooth
device that works correctly.
Is there any chance that either of these will start working with
bluez?
What information should I provide to be more helpful?

Hiya,
I've had a good check through this mailing list about the question of
whether the Bluez files can be used when creating proprietary software,
but the last thread on this fizzled out before a solid answer.
What is the current view on whether the kernel modules, packages,
libraries etc. can be used in non-GPL software?
A specific example would be using the "bluez-hcidump" package with a
non-GPL piece of software.
Looking forward to a reply!

So, use the license in your project. Honestly, what would you lose?

Update:
I've tried the "Gembird" in four more computers:
1) works in windows, fails in linux
2 and 3) fails in linux
4) works in linux (and even here it fails sometimes)
Could the dongle be damaged? Does anybody else use that kind of
"Gembird" or "EDRClassone" dongle without problems?
