Hello,
if the music is playing faster than it should be, disable "mmap" in you
music-player. For xine-based-players, there is an option in the xine-config
(maybe graphically depending on the program) to do this.
I know there is also an option in xmms to disable mmap
(Alsa-plugin-configuration->advanced I believe).
