Hi,

Series enables the audio support for the Renesas RZ/G3S
SoC along with runtime PM and suspend to RAM.

Patches:
-    01/31 - add clock, reset and power domain support
- 02-04/31 - update versaclock3 clock generator driver to support the
             5L35023 hardware variant; versaclock3 provides clocks for
             the audio devices (SSIF, DA7212 codec)
-    05/31 - add pin control support for audio
- 06-21/31 - add SSIF support for the RZ/G3S SoC; fixes and cleanups
             were also included
- 22-26/31 - updates the da7213 codec driver to support the DA7212
             hardware variant; suspend to RAM code was adjusted
             to cope with the RZ/G3S power saving modes
- 27-31/31 - add device tree support

Merge strategy, if any:
- clock patches (01-04/31) can go through the Renesas tree
- pinctrl patch (05/31) can go though the Renesas tree
- audio patches (06-26/31) can go through audio tree
- device tree patches (27-31/31) can go through Renesas tree

[PATCH 02/31] clk: versaclock3: Prepare for the addition of 5L35023 device

The 5P35023 and 5L35035 Versa 3 clock generator variants are different but
the versaclock3 driver could be used with small adjustments. The features
that are implemented in driver and differs b/w variants are the PLL2 Fvco
and clock sel bit for SE2 clock. Adjust the driver to prepare for the
addition of 5L35023 device.

There are some differences b/w 5L35023 and 5P35023 Versa3 clock
generator variants but the same driver could be used with minimal
adjustments. The identified differences are PLL2 Fvco, the clock sel
bit for SE2 clock and different default values for some registers.

[PATCH 06/31] ASoC: sh: rz-ssi: Terminate all the DMA transactions

The idea behind such functions is to pass a bitmask representing the
bits to be cleared to "bclr", and a bitmask representing the bits
to be set to "bset".  In this case, you do not want to clear any bits,
so the "bclr" parameter should be zero, and the original code is fine.

[PATCH 19/31] ASoC: sh: rz-ssi: Issue software reset in hw_params API

The code initially issued software reset on SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_START
action only before starting the first stream. This can be easily moved to
hw_params() as the action is similar to setting the clocks. Moreover,
according to the hardware manual (Table 35.7 Bits Initialized by Software
Reset of the SSIFCR.SSIRST Bit) the software reset action acts also on the
clock dividers bits. Due to this issue the software reset in hw_params()
before configuring the clock dividers. This also simplifies the code in
trigger API.

[PATCH 20/31] ASoC: sh: rz-ssi: Add suspend to RAM support

The SSIF-2 IP is available on the Renesas RZ/G3S SoC. The Renesas RZ/G3S
SoC supports a power-saving mode where power to most of the SoC
components is turned off. Add suspend/resume support to the SSIF-2 driver
to support this power-saving mode.

On SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_SUSPEND trigger the SSI is stopped (the stream
user pointer is left untouched to avoid breaking user space and the dma
buffer pointer is set to zero), on SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_RESUME software reset
is issued for the SSIF-2 IP and the clocks are re-configured.

On the Renesas RZ/G3S SMARC Carrier II board having a DA7212 codec (using
da7213 driver) connected to one SSIF-2 available on the Renesas RZ/G3S SoC
it has been discovered that using the runtime PM API for suspend/resume
(as will be proposed in the following commits) leads to the codec not
being propertly initialized after resume. This is because w/o
max_register populated to regmap_config the regcache_rbtree_sync()
breaks on base_reg > max condition and the regcache_sync_block() call is
skipped.

I thought that not syncing the cached registers might impact other setups
as well.

Also, Renesas is contributing to CIP (Civil Infrastructure Project) which
is based on stable releases. The audio support in this series will be
backported to CIP kernels. Marking it for stable ease the work to backport
the RZ/G3S audio support to CIP.

With this, would you prefer to drop the "Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org"?

Whilst the above is true, we still must adhere to the "stable" rules - Only bug fixes etc. should be marked for stable.
Any extra effort is for CIP to do.

As you say perhaps this patch will fix code functionality for other users.
I'll leave it to the relevant maintainers to decide if this is a suitable bug fix or not :)

[PATCH 25/31] ASoC: da7213: Avoid setting PLL when closing audio stream

[PATCH 26/31] ASoC: da7213: Extend support for the MCK in range [2, 50] MHz

According to DA7212 HW manual, the codec's PLL input divider can operate
with MCLK range from 2MHz to 50MHz but current driver only set the
minimum supported MCLK frequency to 5MHz. That cause 11.025kHz audio
which is corresponding to MCLK of 2.8224MHz (11.025kHz * 256) unable to
play in case audio-simple-card is used.

tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during
the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if
