GPIO 65 is confirmed to be connected to the EC reset line on the CRD,
QCP, XPS 13, and T14s. The same wiring pattern appears to be shared by
the remaining Hamoa and Purwa boards, so reserve it on all of them.
This prevents Linux from toggling a line that can leave some devices
unable to power on until their battery is disconnected.

Changes in v2:
- Rebased on next-20260831.
- Included fixes for all remaining hamoa/purwa devices this time.

GPIO 65 from TLMM is used by the embedded controller as its reset line.
On some devices, toggling the embedded controller reset line makes the
device not power up at all, unless the battery is unplugged.
So reserve it in order to prevent Linux from requesting or
reconfiguring it.

GPIO 65 from TLMM is used by the embedded controller as its reset line.
On some devices, toggling the embedded controller reset line makes the
device not power up at all, unless the battery is unplugged.
So reserve it in order to prevent Linux from requesting or
reconfiguring it.

GPIO 65 from TLMM is used by the embedded controller as its reset line.
On some devices, toggling the embedded controller reset line makes the
device not power up at all, unless the battery is unplugged.
So reserve it in order to prevent Linux from requesting or
reconfiguring it.

On this device, GPIO_65 is an enable pin for the touchpad regulator
(or something else that is a pre-requisite of the touchpad working)

Have you confirmed that behavior on the CRD?

Because it uses the same EC as Romulus, I would guesstimate this
isn't right for this device too

Toggling it does nothing observable.
However, the documentation says this GPIO is actually tied to EC reset.
I still think we should reserve it, just to be safe.
What do you think?

OK, so I'll drop all changes for Microsoft devices then.

Yep, will rephrase it for this platform as:
While toggling it from linux doesn't seem to have any observable impact,
since documentation does confrm it is connected to EC reset, lets reserve
it just to be on the safe side.

Have you toggled the pin into the correct polarity? The EC FW seems not
to be handling that pin at all, so I'm guessing it should be just a dumb
chip reset
