From: Steve Twiss <stwiss.opensource-WBD+wuPFNBhBDgjK7y7TUQ@public.gmane.org>
Device tree binding information for DA9062 and DA9061 thermal junction
temperature monitor.
Binding descriptions for the DA9061 and DA9062 thermal TJUNC supervisor
device driver, using a single THERMAL_TRIP_HOT trip-wire and allowing for
a configurable polling period for over-temperature polling.
This patch also adds two examples, one for DA9062 and one for DA9061. The
DA9061 example uses a fall-back compatible string for the DA9062.

Add binding information for DA9062 and DA9061 watchdog.
Example bindings for both DA9062 and DA9061 devices are added. For
the DA9061 device, a fallback compatible line is added as a valid
combination of compatible strings.
The original binding for DA9062 (only) used to reside inside the
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/mfd/da9062.txt MFD document.
The da9062-watchdog section was deleted in that file and replaced
with a link to the new DA9061/62 binding information stored in this
patch.

Hi,
No code changes for this version PATCH V5.
As previously:
For the watchdog case: the DA9062 device driver is compatible with the
DA9061 and for this reason there is minimal change required to the DA9062
watchdog device driver. The example for the DA9061 watchdog shows the
use of a fall-back compatible string.

As you probably noticed pinctrl and gpio register are mixed in this
hardware. One of the register is alos use to get some clock freqeuncy,
so that's why I ended with a syscon node. The parent node is the
pinctrl. My main motivation to use a subnode was to be ablee to have a
phandle associated with the GPIO chip. In my first version I only have
one node but then I realized that I could not use GPIO in the device
tree without an phandle to point it.
If you have an other solution, I would be happy to remove this subnode.
>

There won't be a second gpio-controllers because we only have one gpio
controller by pin controller (as they are actually the same). Also as I
said above, the subnode is mainly here to provide a phandle.
But I can add a comment to emphasize it.

The PCIe programming sequence in TRM suggests CLKSTCTRL of PCIe should
be set to SW_WKUP. There are no issues when CLKSTCTRL is set to HW_AUTO
in RC mode. However in EP mode, the host system is not able to access the
MEMSPACE and setting the CLKSTCTRL to SW_WKUP fixes it.

+ PCI TEST USERGUIDE
+ Kishon Vijay Abraham I <kishon@ti.com>
+
+This document is a guide to help users use pci-epf-test function driver
+and pci_endpoint_test host driver for testing PCI. The list of steps to
+be followed in the host side and EP side is given below.
+
+1. Endpoint Device
+
+1.1 Endpoint Controller Devices
+
+To find the list of endpoint controller devices in the system:
+
+ # ls /sys/class/pci_epc/
+ 51000000.pcie_ep
+
+If PCI_ENDPOINT_CONFIGFS is enabled
+ # ls /sys/kernel/config/pci_ep/controllers
+ 51000000.pcie_ep
+
+1.2 Endpoint Function Drivers
+
+To find the list of endpoint function drivers in the system:
+
+ # ls /sys/bus/pci-epf/drivers
+ pci_epf_test
+
+If PCI_ENDPOINT_CONFIGFS is enabled
+ # ls /sys/kernel/config/pci_ep/functions
+ pci_epf_test
+
+1.3 Creating pci-epf-test Device
+
+PCI endpoint function device can be created using the configfs. To create
+pci-epf-test device, the following commands can be used
+
+ # mount -t configfs none /sys/kernel/config
+ # cd /sys/kernel/config/pci_ep/
+ # mkdir functions/pci_epf_test/func1
+
+The "mkdir func1" above creates the pci-epf-test function device that will
+be probed by pci_epf_test driver.
+
+The PCI endpoint framework populates the directory with the following
+configurable fields.
+
+ # ls functions/pci_epf_test/func1
+ baseclass_code interrupt_pin revid subsys_vendor_id
+ cache_line_size msi_interrupts subclass_code vendorid
+ deviceid progif_code subsys_id
+
+The pci endpoint function driver populates these entries with default values
+when the device is bound to the driver. The pci-epf-test driver populates
+vendorid with 0xffff and interrupt_pin with 0x0001
+
+ # cat functions/pci_epf_test/func1/vendorid
+ 0xffff
+ # cat functions/pci_epf_test/func1/interrupt_pin
+ 0x0001
+
+1.4 Configuring pci-epf-test Device
+
+The user can configure the pci-epf-test device using configfs entry. In order
+to change the vendorid and the number of MSI interrupts used by the function
+device, the following commands can be used.
+
+ # echo 0x104c > functions/pci_epf_test/func1/vendorid
+ # echo 0xb500 > functions/pci_epf_test/func1/deviceid
+ # echo 16 > functions/pci_epf_test/func1/msi_interrupts
+
+1.5 Binding pci-epf-test Device to EP Controller
+
+In order for the endpoint function device to be useful, it has to be bound to
+a PCI endpoint controller driver. Use the configfs to bind the function
+device to one of the controller driver present in the system.
+
+ # ln -s functions/pci_epf_test/func1 controllers/51000000.pcie_ep/
+
+Once the above step is completed, the PCI endpoint is ready to establish a link
+with the host.
+
+1.6 Start the Link
+
+In order for the endpoint device to establish a link with the host, the _start_
+field should be populated with '1'.
+
+ # echo 1 > controllers/51000000.pcie_ep/start
+
+2. RootComplex Device
+
+2.1 lspci Output
+
+Note that the devices listed here correspond to the value populated in 1.4 above
+
+ 00:00.0 PCI bridge: Texas Instruments Device 8888 (rev 01)
+ 01:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Texas Instruments Device b500
+
+2.2 Using Endpoint Test function Device
+
+pcitest.sh added in tools/pci/ can be used to run all the default PCI endpoint
+tests. Before pcitest.sh can be used pcitest.c should be compiled using the
+following commands.
+
+ cd <kernel-dir>
+ make headers_install ARCH=arm
+ arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc -Iusr/include tools/pci/pcitest.c -o pcitest
+ cp pcitest <rootfs>/usr/sbin/
+ cp tools/pci/pcitest.sh <rootfs>

* [PATCH v5 15/24] PCI: dwc: dra7xx: Workaround for errata id i870
From: Kishon Vijay Abraham I @ 2017-03-27 9:45 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: Bjorn Helgaas, Joao Pinto, linux-pci, linux-doc, linux-kernel,

Cc: hch, nsekhar, kishon
In-Reply-To: <20170327094520.3129-1-kishon@ti.com>
According to errata i870, access to the PCIe slave port
that are not 32-bit aligned will result in incorrect mapping
to TLP Address and Byte enable fields.
Accessing non 32-bit aligned data causes incorrect data in the target
buffer if memcpy is used. Implement the workaround for this
errata here.

* [PATCH v5 11/24] PCI: dwc: dra7xx: Facilitate wrapper and msi interrupts to be enabled independently
From: Kishon Vijay Abraham I @ 2017-03-27 9:45 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: Bjorn Helgaas, Joao Pinto, linux-pci, linux-doc, linux-kernel,
devicetree, linux-omap, linux-arm-kernel
Cc: hch, nsekhar, kishon
In-Reply-To: <20170327094520.3129-1-kishon@ti.com>
No functional change. Split dra7xx_pcie_enable_interrupts into
dra7xx_pcie_enable_wrapper_interrupts and dra7xx_pcie_enable_msi_interrupts
so that wrapper interrupts and msi interrupts can be enabled independently.
This is in preparation for adding EP mode support to dra7xx driver since
EP mode doesn't have to enable msi_interrupts.

* [PATCH v5 09/24] PCI: dwc: designware: Add EP mode support
From: Kishon Vijay Abraham I @ 2017-03-27 9:45 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: Bjorn Helgaas, Joao Pinto, linux-pci, linux-doc, linux-kernel,
devicetree, linux-omap, linux-arm-kernel
Cc: hch, nsekhar, kishon
In-Reply-To: <20170327094520.3129-1-kishon@ti.com>
Add endpoint mode support to designware driver. This uses the
EP Core layer introduced recently to add endpoint mode support.
*Any* function driver can now use this designware device
in order to achieve the EP functionality.

* [PATCH v5 06/24] Documentation: PCI: Add specification for the *pci test* function device
From: Kishon Vijay Abraham I @ 2017-03-27 9:45 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: Bjorn Helgaas, Joao Pinto, linux-pci, linux-doc, linux-kernel,

Cc: hch, nsekhar, kishon
In-Reply-To: <20170327094520.3129-1-kishon@ti.com>
Add specification for the *pci test* virtual function device. The endpoint
function driver and the host pci driver should be created based on this
specification.

+ PCI TEST
+ Kishon Vijay Abraham I <kishon@ti.com>
+
+Traditionally PCI RC has always been validated by using standard
+PCI cards like ethernet PCI cards or USB PCI cards or SATA PCI cards.
+However with the addition of EP-core in linux kernel, it is possible
+to configure a PCI controller that can operate in EP mode to work as
+a test device.
+
+The PCI endpoint test device is a virtual device (defined in software)
+used to test the endpoint functionality and serve as a sample driver
+for other PCI endpoint devices (to use the EP framework).
+
+The PCI endpoint test device has the following registers:
+
+ 1) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_MAGIC
+ 2) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_COMMAND
+ 3) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_STATUS
+ 4) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_SRC_ADDR
+ 5) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_DST_ADDR
+ 6) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_SIZE
+ 7) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_CHECKSUM
+
+*) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_MAGIC
+
+This register will be used to test BAR0. A known pattern will be written
+and read back from MAGIC register to verify BAR0.
+
+*) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_COMMAND:
+
+This register will be used by the host driver to indicate the function
+that the endpoint device must perform.
+
+Bitfield Description:
+ Bit 0 : raise legacy irq
+ Bit 1 : raise MSI irq
+ Bit 2 - 7 : MSI interrupt number
+ Bit 8 : read command (read data from RC buffer)
+ Bit 9 : write command (write data to RC buffer)
+ Bit 10 : copy command (copy data from one RC buffer to another
+ RC buffer)
+
+*) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_STATUS
+
+This register reflects the status of the PCI endpoint device.
+
+Bitfield Description:
+ Bit 0 : read success
+ Bit 1 : read fail
+ Bit 2 : write success
+ Bit 3 : write fail
+ Bit 4 : copy success
+ Bit 5 : copy fail
+ Bit 6 : irq raised
+ Bit 7 : source address is invalid
+ Bit 8 : destination address is invalid
+
+*) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_SRC_ADDR
+
+This register contains the source address (RC buffer address) for the
+COPY/READ command.
+
+*) PCI_ENDPOINT_TEST_DST_ADDR
+
+This register contains the destination address (RC buffer address) for
+the COPY/WRITE command.

Invoke API's provided by pci-ep-cfs to create configfs entry for
every EPC device and EPF driver to help users in creating EPF device
and binding the EPF device to the EPC device.
