Hello all,
I´m looking for some terminal program for packet radio under linux (
Xwindow ). Could someone tell me which are most used, and where is it
possible to obtain.
Now I am using Xpr from OK1ZIA, but I want to try something else.
Many thanks

LinKT is pretty nice IMHO. See
http://www.1409.org/projects/linkt/index.html
See also radio.linux.org.au, there might be other alternatives as well.

No versions of linkt compile on RedHat 7.2. I tried Qt 2.3.1 and 2.3.2.
Too bad because it looks like a good program.
I got linpac to work though.

Hmm... I use RH7.2 and I run LinKT from time to time... I need to check,
it may be that it needed some massaging to compile... I'll report to you a
bit later...

Just checked, linkt-0.6.99-20011124-CVS compiles just fine on my RH7.2.
And it seems to work as well... :)

Here's Qt 2.3.1 (Slackware 8) and 2.4.12 kernel.
LinKT 0.6.99 and MonKT 0.6.1 works great.
Hint: try "make" in each directory of source, especially LinKT/src directory,
not just in LinKT base directory. Something's wrong in main MAKEFILE.
> Too bad because it looks like a good program.
Indeed it is. I can say, the uncapability for UNPROTO packets is the only
drawback. And linpac can only set direct UNPROTO path, without digis.
Everytime I work via satellite, I must reboot to DOS.
Kindly,
Alek

Hi Tomi!
I have downloaded this Linkt-0.6.99 as you wrote, I'll try to compile
it, but which packages did you also install before. I think - kdelibs and
Qt, because I don't use KDE, I use GNOME. Do you have KDE instaled?
Am I right?

Yes. I have an almost full install of RH7.2. And I too use gnome as the
desktop.

Hello all...
I´ve instaled Qt-2.3.1 (all rpms from RedHat7.2 - CD1, CD2) and
KDElibs. At this point all looked fine.
Now I tried to install linkt-0.6.99. I started with ./configure, as was
described in documetation. Configure script stops in section when is
checking for Qt with errors. Here is fragment from config.log:

There is undefined reference to some functions, but in my qt2 folder
I have all this files like qglobal.h, qapp.h, etc.
I don´t know what could be wrong. Could you help me?
