Hi all,
The second beta of gMFSK, the Gnome Multimode HF Terminal program has
been released to the public. You can find it here:
http://gmfsk.connect.fi/
This time no RPMs. If you want to build RPMs yourself, do a
"rpmbuild -ta gmfsk-0.6beta2.tar.gz".
Changes in this release include
- A configuration druid (or wizard) that pops up the first
time you launch the software
- New macros: $startqso, $logqso, $clearqso (set qso start
time, log qso, clear qso data respectively)
- Some sample macros/fixtexts
- CWirc (see http://webperso.easyconnect.fr/om.the/web/helloip/)
- Support for the upcoming hamlib 1.1.5
- A few bug fixes and other minor stuff. See the ChangeLog
for details.
As always, have fun!

I try to compile gMFSK v0.6be, but I have a error in configure:
checking for libgnomeui-2.0... Package libgnomeui-2.0 was not found in the
pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libgnomeui-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'libgnomeui-2.0' found
configure: error: Library requirements (libgnomeui-2.0) not met; consider
adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a
nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.
My setup Fedora Core 1
the libgnomeui package is already installed.
[gmfsk-0.6beta2]# rpm -qa|grep libgnomeui
libgnomeui-2.4.0.1-1
[gmfsk-0.6beta2]#ls /usr/lib/libgnomeui*
/usr/lib/libgnomeui-2.so.0.400.0 /usr/lib/libgnomeui.so.32.14.1
/usr/lib/libgnomeui-2.so.0 /usr/lib/libgnomeui.so.32
[gmfsk-0.6beta2]#
I have the same problem if try to compile tarball gMFSK v0.5
No problem with gMFSK v0.5 RPM version.

I just installed libgnomeui-devel package and now is compiled OK.
Thanks

Most likely, you need libgnomeui-devel.

Port names and interface names are two different things.
Nrattach (like most of the ax25-tools/apps) takes a port name
from /etc/ax25/nrports as the last argument. When the kernel
interface is created, it's name is whatever the kernel decides.
Nrattach does not try to rename it. (Maybe it should now that
it's possible..?)

Hi,
I have been playing for a few days with ax25 routing on radio with linux
2.6.1 kernel.
Because ROSE module, FPAC and xfbb BBS are not (yet ?) working with this
new
kernel, I found myself limited, for the moment, to use netrom and node
0.3.2 with
two dual ports TNCs KPC9612 and mkiss.
I followed the AX25 HOWTO and Netrom - Node mini Howto for the installation
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Netrom-Node.html
Things went quite well as I am able to connect a neighbour FPAC node
station through a
netrom call as simple as : 'call netnod LNXKCK'
From there I can call myself back and make a connection to node F6BVP-10.
Now, here is my question.
nrattach example says :
# /usr/sbin/nrattach -i 44.30.2.5 netrom
# /usr/sbin/nrattach -i 44.30.2.5 netmod
However nrattach creates two ports on my system that are identified as
nr0 and nr1
not netrom and netmod as I can see with 'ip address' command.
Is there a problem with nrattach ? It does'nt seem to use the
netrom/netmod argument ?
However I know that it works for I can use the netrom ports defined in
/etc/nrports alias.
So maybe its only a display problem ?
