last kernel version 2.6.15-rc1

Good eveneing or morning,

has somebody tried the last version of the kernel (rc1 of 2.6.15) ?

I know it's only a release candidate, but i like experimentation.

I use soundmodem and mkiss and i have no problems to receive packets with this kernel.
But when i use the program 'call' from ax25-apps, my system freezes
and i have the message :

I tried to compile again the ax25-apps, but i get always the same message.
With the kernel 2.6.14 all is running perfectly.

Any ideas ?

Calling it release candidate it a Linus idea.  In fact it's almost the
definition of instable.

Is this a preemptable kernel?

yes, the kernel was compiled with the option CONFIG_PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY=y

i tried also with the option CONFIG_PREEMPT_NONE=y
and i have the same problem.
To be complete, after the message is ent yesterday,
some seconds after i have another like that :

kernel BUG at kernel/timer.c:469!
invalid operand: 0000 [#1]
Modules linked in: nfsd exportfs lockd sunrpc ...(and various modules about sound)
CPU: 0
EIP: 0060:[c01213c3] Not tainted VLI
.........................

and other things that i must copy by hand, because not recorded.
On another hand, i received a message from oh1mrr telling he has no problem
with this kernel.
So the solution i think is in my garden.. But where ?
