-- Hello friends
at
http://sf.net/projects/hfterm
and soon(tomorrow) also at
http://www.hf.webmasternet.org
(maybe quicker in Germany)
you can download hf's new release 0.7.3

new:
# cw elbug (for mouse and paddle in hfterm,
also as extra console program "elbug" for paddle only,
its output can be DTR or RTS of serial port)
# clearer and more user-friendly configuration,
# the "no-mmap" option is now default, means:
will start in any case, workaround former soundcard problems
# beacon interval now configurable
# autoupdated auto-tools for newer compilers
# hftcp, a tcp- remotecontrol - example script included
# fixes in automatic tx/rx, seems more stable.

have fun!

Hi Gunther, I got your latest version 0.7.3 and it almost works. I am
using Red Hat Fedora core 2 and I loaded the entire thing. I know your
required libs are on my Linux. But the rpm will not load properly. I
have to use --nodes and it starts just fine without any errors. The
program is very complex so I downloaded the HOW TO and that is difficult
reading, but I will keep at it and try to get things set up.

This latest version appears to be much better than earlier versions
which I failed to get working. I realize the whole thing is a work in
progress and I hope I can make it progress a bit more.

maybe i forgot to nete that the i586 rpm is for newer
computers and linuxes also including ALSA,
and the i386 is for older ones and without ALSA:
