For those of you running Linux and not able to get EZNEC running under
CrossOver Office or Wine, I have found that installing the CrossOver Office
Linux v 9 rpm under OpenSuSE 11.2 64 bit let me run EZNEC v 5.0.37 in a win98
bottle.

I don't seem to have any problems running it under these conditions.

I was not able to get it to run with OpenSuSE 11.2 32 bit version or OpenSUSE
11.3 64 bit version.

4nec2 seems to run fine on anything I've tried.

Have you tried the qantenna and necpp packages from the openSuSE Ham
Radio repositories?

The repos are at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hamradio/ and
can be added with the YaST software repository manager.

Mike, W1NR

p.s. I have them mirrored, including some of the deleted ones from past
releases at http://ftp.w1nr.net/opensuse/

Another possibility is to run Virtualbox. I'm using that to host Win2k
on my OpenSuse 11.1 box. EZNEC, as well as any other Windows app I've
tried run just fine.

There are a couple of extra steps needed to get the EZNEC 5.0 demo
running under Wine 1.2 as I've documented at:

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=19176

I have not tried upgrading to nor installing the full version.
