Hi,

You probably all have heard of the network sniffer & dissector called
Wireshark. Currently it does not know of AX.25. I filed a wishlist-bug
in their bugzilla and it looks as if people are willing to develop AX.25
support in wireshark.
My question to you people now is: can someone generate some traffic?
Plain AX.25, beacons, ip-over-ax.25, netrom, rose, etc.
That would help the developers. If you like, I can then host the file
for you and tell the developers about it.
In any case, the url of the bugzilla entry is:
https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7529
(unfortunately I cannot generate any traffic yet myself, hopefully in a week)

that would be then:
tcpdump -i ax25_network_interface -s 1500 -w ax25.dump

for example, with the baycom modem:
tcpdump -i bcsf0 -s 1500 -w ax25.dump

If it would be helpful, I can capture some IRLP traffic from my modest
IRLP gateway http://aprs.fi/info/a/VK2YYZ-5

Would that be of any use ?
