Hi,

Could you please let me know the difference in-between the following two Red
Hat Linux version:

Version 1 - Red Hat Linux release 6.1 (Cartman)
            Kernel 2.3.51 on an IA64

Version 2 - Red Hat Linux release 6.92 (Zoot)
            Kernel 2.3.99-3 on an IA64

If possible, please specify the changes has been made in these two versions.

The difference? Everything. ;)

Seriously, everything was rebuilt between the two releases.
The second one you mention is much more complete, has thread
support in glibc, has a *much* more stable kernel, newer
toolchain, newer debugger, and is generally better.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your reply. If I would like to get the "Zoot" version of "tar"
ball, from where can I get it? Please let me know ASAP.

I really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks.
