I'm trying to build a Debian ia64 port, but so far I haven't been able
to find many source tarballs that seem to be up to date. Here's what
I've found so far:
The gnu-efi announced here yesterday
eli-0.4.0 from sourceforge.net
The Cygnus toolchain 2.9-ia64-000216-final from
ftp.cygnus.com/private/intel. It has a gcc/version.c dated May 1, and
seems to be out of date since it won't accept -mconstant-gp.
No glibc-2.1.3 distribution (except embedded in SRPM's).
Please let me know where to find the most recent versions of the last
two, as well as any other essential ia64-specific tools I might have
missed.

You need extra patches for -mconstant-gp. Your best bet is to get a
gnupro SRPM from our ftp site, unpack the SRPM and build from there.

Glibc 2.1 sources are not available externally AFAIK. The good thing is
that 2.1 didn't change much recently. Again, SRPM is your only option.

We are working on a new toolchain release to replace this one. This release
will be made in conjunction with the glibc-2.2 release, because of numerous
incompatible ABI changes. Meanwhile, you might try an SRPM from one of the
other linux releases.
You will have to rebuild everything from scratch when the new toolchain/glibc
releases come out though.

I am currently working on preparing glibc-2.2 for a release, it is my
intention to provide a tarball of library+compiler that people can use
to start compiling their own applications. threads don't work at the
moment, but most other things seem to be ok (I haven't worked on debug
and profiling libs yet).
Before release I want to test the changes to siginfo and sigevent that
were made yesterday but for some reason I have been unable to compile
a booting kernel for about a month (using different compilers).
