But on a real i2000 it hangs during boot. I enabled verbose ACPI debug output by changing ACPI_DEBUG_LOW to ACPI_DEBUG_HIGH in acpi_bus.c The last printout on the screen is: exregion-0321 [0001] [39] Ex_pci_config_space_ha PCI_config 0 (8) Seg(0000) Bus(0000) Dev(0010) Func(0000) Reg(0040) According to /proc/pci on a working kernel, bus 0 device 16 func 0 is the host bridge: Bus 0, device 16, function 0: Host bridge: Intel Corp, 460GX - 84460GX System Address Controlled (SAC) (rev 3) How can I go on from here? But on a Sorry that should be 2.5.15 ... (it's the 2.5.10 kernel patched with the official patchset from kernel.org:ports/ia64, then patched up to 2.5.15) ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

But on a Peter> real i2000 it hangs during boot. The problem is due to this patch: http://linux.bkbits.net:8080/linux-2.5/diffs/drivers/acpi/acpi_osl.c@1.3?nav=index.html|src/|src/drivers|src/drivers/acpi|hist/drivers/acpi/acpi_osl.c Changing #if 0 to #if 1 gives me a working kernel (2.5.17). I haven't had time to look into a proper fix (need to finish the new TLB flushing code first). --david ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread
