I was just curious, is the tg3 deadlock bug in the latest ia64 patch for
2.4.20? Or does this bug not exist in the 2.4.20 ia64 kernel source?

I was just curious because redhat just released a bug fix for 2.4.18.

Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Brent Clements

Are you referring to the recent MCA problem (see the email thread here:
http://www.uwsg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0302.1/1098.html)?

If so, this problem does not affect 2.4.20-ia64-021210. The problem
was introduced by a 5701 defect workaround. The workaround was
not in the tg3 driver in 2.4.20; it went into tg3 on 1/30/2003.

Bjorn

Brent,
Could you be more specific about the above "deadlock bug" or bug fix?
ie a URL to either or a bugzilla entry would be sufficient.

My gut feeling is this is a different issue than the MCA problem
bjorn thought it might be.

thanks,
grant
