Subject: [PATCH bpf-next v2 16/22] bpf: Append the hidden subprog through the patch list
Date: Fri, 30 Oct 2026 07:52:01 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261030-bpf-verifier-patch-batch-v2-16-55cd43439f7c@gmail.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20261030-bpf-verifier-patch-batch-v2-0-55cd43439f7c@gmail.com>

add_hidden_subprog() appends the subprog for the exception callback by
patching the last instruction of the program with itself followed by
the new instructions.

It does that with bpf_patch_insn_data(), which is going away once all
passes use the patch list.

Queue that patch with bpf_patch_list_add() and commit it right away.
