[PATCH] media: i2c: mt9p031: fix endpoint parsing use-after-free

[Biren Pandya]

The mt9p031_probe() function calls fwnode_handle_put(np) immediately
after parsing the endpoint. However, it subsequently calls
fwnode_property_read_u32() twice using the same 'np' handle, leading
to a potential use-after-free.

Fix this by moving fwnode_handle_put(np) to the end of the endpoint
property reading block, and adding it to the error path of
v4l2_fwnode_endpoint_parse().

[PATCH v2] media: i2c: mt9p031: fix endpoint parsing use-after-free

The mt9p031_parse_properties() function calls fwnode_handle_put(np)
immediately after parsing the endpoint. However, it subsequently reads
the 'input-clock-frequency' and 'pixel-clock-frequency' properties
using the same 'np' handle, leading to a use-after-free.

Fix the use-after-free by reordering the property reads to occur before
the endpoint is parsed and freed. Additionally, utilize the
__free(fwnode_handle) scoped guard to automate the endpoint's lifecycle
management, preventing future leaks and simplifying the error paths.

[PATCH v2] media: i2c: mt9p031: fix endpoint parsing use-after-free

[Biren Pandya]

The mt9p031_parse_properties() function calls fwnode_handle_put(np) to
release the fwnode handle. However, immediately after this call, np is
used in fwnode_property_read_u32(), leading to a Use-After-Free bug.

Use the __free(fwnode_handle) attribute for the np pointer to automate
cleanup. This allows us to remove the manual fwnode_handle_put(np) call,
ensuring the handle is only dropped when the function returns, thus
preventing the Use-After-Free.
