It was easy :) There needs to be the following message from imx-media: imx-media: Registered subdev ipu1_csi0_mux imx-media: Registered subdev ipu2_csi1_mux for quad, and imx-media: Registered subdev ipu1_csi0_mux imx-media: Registered subdev ipu1_csi1_mux for D/L. Agreed, but I notice now that CONFIG_MEDIA_CONTROLLER and CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L2_SUBDEV_API are not enabled there anymore. I guess there was some config conflict that necessitated disabling them, but without them there is no media platform device support at all anyway.
