Hi Bart,
thanks for updating tip. I updated to:
gcc 2.96-0.62mdk
glibc-devel 2.2.4-6mdk
binutils 2.11.90.0.8-5mdk
XFree86-devel 4.1.0-17mdk
Now it compiles, but only without X11-support.
I run a Clipper program, which crashes, if you try to proceed past EOF or
BOF. The last I saw in this mailing list about this problem was, that you
should use dosemu with X11, so only dosemu will crash and not linux. Or is
there another way around. If it is possible, I would prefer running the
Clipper program without X11.
Thanks for your help
Claudia

DOSEMU should never crash linux if you run it unprivileged as a normal
user. This is independent of running it in a terminal or using xdosemu.
I have no experience with Clipper so cannot comment on that.

Hi, Bart!

There was no link /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.a. Now it has compiled with
X11-Support. Thanks.

No, I run it as user. With the new compiled program 1.1.3 in X-Windows now it
makes a beep and stops, but I can shut the window and start the program again.
In console mode there is now not even a beep and the program stops, but I can
change to another console and kill the program. I don't have to restart
linux.
In the attachment you can find a boot.log running dosemu in X11 loading the
Clipper program and then trying to pass over EOF.
Thanks for your help
