I have twenty Red Hat 7.2 boxes happily running identically configured
copies of DOSEMU 1.0.2 with FreeDOS kernel 1.1.26a (build 2026a).
My newest aquisition, a 1.6 GHz Pentium 4 box, refuses to run the same
configuration.
Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you need at least version 1.0.2.1 to work with the Pentium 4.

Thanks. Upgrading to version 1.0.2.1 did the trick.
As usual, I have to use kernel 1.1.26a in order to lredir network
drives.

I have no idea about lredir etc. They are using a "coopthreads"
technique to get back into DOS, but they run in monitor space.
At least you can work around it by using the DOS compiled lredir etc.
I don't know enough about coopthreads to be able to comment on that.
It can be a timing problem, or something else.
The other P4 problem (fixed in 1.0.2.1 and 1.1.2) was simply a left out
case in parsing /proc/cpuinfo.
