I have tried lredir, but it does not work, because of some strange syntax, /home does not work, and mount (like of DOSBox) dos not work either. Does anyone know how? DOSEMu Users against War Today the president of the United States George Bush has set a 48 hour deadline for Iraq. This means than on the 20th of March, war may be declared. There will be many innocent lives lost in this illegal war (in that no UN approval). The 20th of March will always be remembered as a dark day, not just for America but for all DOSEMu users. Please write to your representatives and tell them to avert war. Yours sincerely, Vlad __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Does anyone know how? well, the syntax is described in the docs: C:> lredir d: LINUX\FS/home (RTFM) > > DOSEMu Users against War > Today the president of the United States George Bush > has set a 48 hour deadline for Iraq. well, this seems to be a lredir (aka 'Law Redirection') problem, too. The syntax for this one (obviously) was: US:> lredir P: NEW\UN\CHARTA/private/gwb ('P:' being drive 'peace') Note, however, that the operator of this DODEMU session _did_ RTFM, else he would not have been able to do what he did prior to the above one: US:> lredir P: ELECTION\RULES/private/gwb ('P:' being drive 'president') > This means than on the 20th of March, war may be > declared. Of course, this really isn't an issue, I just map higher up and CD where I want and, I'm also using an older version of DOSEmu - I'm really just sending this as a excuse to state the following: It's too late, the war is going to start and there isn't anything we can do about it now, not really. Those of us in America can be sure not to vote conservative HAWKS into power again, but that's not likely to happen because, excuse me, most of my fellow Americans are STUPID :) Frontline on PBS had a very interesting report on last night, which makes it almost obvious that Iraq was an issue long before Sept. 11 - that was just the excuse to justify the war. There are a group of nuts, including some of the very top leaders, which were referred to as the HAWKS, who want a change of foreign policy to include preemption - this is public information, and has nothing to do with Sept. 11. First off, I hate this junk on a technical list. Secondly, I'm registered NO PARTY and I do not subject myself to such blind affliations. Third, I'm amazed at the hypocracy of Bill Clinton who bypassed the UN on so many conflicts, from Somalia to Kosovo. The only difference is that those were smaller conflicts, this is a bigger one. Watch where you throw the term "War Hawk" because it points at as many Democrats as Republicans. Fourth, I like to look outside the US. I have looked at papers from Japan to Saudi Arabia, and anyone who acknowledges the reality of the situation, it is the fault of Saddam Hussein and no one else. Especially the Japanese, who have a constitution forbidding war. Fifth, even Hans Blix says that inspections are useless without the cooperation of Iraq. He has repeatedly stated that there is no way to "inspect compliance" without 100% Iraqi cooperation, and that cooperation has been limited. Lastly, to quote Democrat Senator Joeseph Bidden, "This is not pre-emption, it is enforcement. It is enforment of resolution 876 and the clarification of that resolution in resolution 1441." In a nutshell, the US finally said the ceasefire is over, after 12 years of non-compliance to its terms. Otherwise any future ceasefire will be a joke. -- Bryan J.
