Hello,
I would like to run STSOrbit Plus (http://www.dransom.com/stsplus.html)
under dosemu 1.0.2-bin.
STSOrbit plus need 500KB to run. The command mem from freedos says it
has 623KB free of conventional memory.
STSOrbit crashes saying "Insufficent RAM to run this version of
STSOrbit." :-(
Do someone has an idea how to fix this, if it is fixable?
Thanks,
Bern

Less may be more! There are programs, that don't start in the first 64K
memory. Just start some command.com's, until less than 576K (=640-64)
memory is left. Your program may work now.

I gave it a try but that didn't make it work. I took the memory down to
574K.
Other ideas?
Thank you very much

An impressive program. I tried it also with freedos and 1.0.2.1
and it works fine; in my case also, mem reports 623k free. It also
works with MS-DOS 6.00, and with 1.1.4.0. So at least the program
itself is not at fault.

Knowing it works for someone is a very good news!
Now what is wrong with my setup? Could you send me your autoexec.bat
and config.sys files? I'll compare them with my setup and see if
something is wrong. Maybe the dosemu.conf, dosemurc and global.conf
might be useful as well if you don't mind?
Thank you for your help
Bernard

this program works for me.
Try at least dosemu-1.0.2.1-bin (unless you use the SuSE dosemu).
If that doesn't work then make sure you have an up-to-date dosemu-freedos
tarball (dosemu-freedos-b8p-bin.tgz)
If that still doesn't work then try dosemu-1.1.4.
Bart
