First off, thanks for the pointers on the cdrom issues I had. The info in the
two replies helped to get that situation working fine! Now my next stumbling
block is in the "virtual modem" area. With the configuration I have now, with
$_com1="virtual" in the conf file, the basics seem to work perfectly. The
problem is that when using a DOS based zmodem file transfer program such
as DSZ from Omen, or PDZ, they either hang totally, or time out and eventually
abort the file transfer. I'm using an actual copy of MS-DOS 6.22 so the msd
diag program is available, and it's output indicates that all DOS comm port
related settings are correct...at least what it shows for com1 under dosemu
is exactly what is displayed on a 'real' DOS 6.22 machine for com1.
Are there any other comm port related settings that might come into play here
relating to the virtual port?
Thanks again!
