Hi,
what do i need to get sound in old dos games working ? I've enabled sb
emulation in dosemu configuration file. Do i need a dos soundblaster
driver ? if yes, where to get one ?

Hello.

You need this:
1. dosemu-1.1.3 sources
2. New SB (Pro) emulator from this page:
http://dosemu.sourceforge.net/~stas/

No, you don't need any because old SB
cards are supported directly by the
dos programs.
You have to only set the BLASTER
variable to match your dosemu.conf
settings.

I tried that but the sound would only work for about 5 seconds, then
freeze up dosemu.

Hello.

When? Are you using the latest revision (16)
of the patch?

Have you applied only SB patch, or also some
other patches?
Does it lock dosemu hard (so that Ctrl-Alt-PgDn
doesn't work) or only the dos program locks?
Please send me a full bugreport including
the name (and URL if applicable) of the
program you are running, sound log (-D9+S)
and specify whether your program uses DPMI
or not and does it work OK when sound is
disabled.
